About the Role
Operating equipment
- Operating skid steer to clean feed bunks.
- Operating front end loader loading mixer wagon.
- Operating tractor and mixer wagon for delivery of feed.
- Operating feeding equipment properly and safely.
General responsibilities
- Follow procedures for TMR mixing time and order of ingredients.
- Accurately weigh feed ingredients for a TMR.
- Delivery of TMR's to correct pens.
- Inspect equipment for proper function.
- Examine feed for contamination (mold, spoilage, unusual ingredients, etc....)
- Monitor feed inventory.
Requirements
Experience in dairy farming, preferably with experience mising feed ingredients and feeding livestock.
Experience operating heavy equipment.
Demonstrate a good work ethic.
Reliable and self-motivated.
Ability to learn, take instructions, problem solve and pay strong attention to detail.
Experience working independently and completing tasks without supervision, also able to work within a team.
A positive, driven attitude and are capable of setting priorities.
